JAMES CASON...Ever heard of him?
Mr. Cason is the head of US Interest Section in Cuba. He is a career Foreign Service Officer with extensive experience in Latin America, has been Chief of Mission at the United States Interests Section (USINT) Havana, Cuba, since September 10, 2002. Prior to assuming his duties in Havana, he worked in the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs as Director of Policy, Planning and Coordination.
Most of all, Cason is (in the best sense of the season) a true “Nutcracker.” In honor of the 75 Cubans that Fidel Castro has imprisoned for “political disobedience,” Cason has plastered a huge, red 75 in his outdoor Christmas display.
Right there in Castro’s backyard, Havana, is a Christmas greeting that few can ignore.

JAMES CASON, head of the U.S. Interest Section in Cuba (the United States has no embassy there) has ignited a marvelous little propaganda war between the United States and Cuba, and Cuba is losing.
